Where to Watch Fireworks This 4th

The 4th of July holiday is the perfect time to spend with family and enjoy different fireworks shows. Although it is illegal to light off your own fireworks in the Contra Costa area, there are many cities that put on shows for everyone to enjoy.

The city of Martinez will have its annual 4th of July firework celebration at Waterfront Park. The show starts at 9:30, but it is recommended that you get there at least 15 minutes early. The show is scheduled to last 25 minutes.

Antioch will be holding its July 4th fireworks extravaganza at the Rivertown business district. The extravaganza will feature a parade and hometown band followed by the fireworks show starting at 9:30.

The city of Pittsburg is also holding a fireworks show for people in the area. The show will start at 5 p.m. at the Pittsburg Marina near downtown Pittsburg, and go until 9 p.m.
