National Nutrition Month

Happy National Nutrition Month! The Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics started National Nutrition Month in March to help call attention to the importance of making healthy food choices, as well as the importance of adding physical exercise to your daily schedule. National Nutrition Month is also the best time to find events that can help others become a little healthier and to better their lives.

There are many local events that are going on to help celebrate National Nutrition Month this March, including an event with the American Red Cross. The American Red Cross and Be The Match are encouraging any eligible donors to become a hometown hero, by donating blood to help those in need and registering to be a potential bone marrow donor. The two organizations are hosting a bone marrow registry and blood drive on Saturday, March 14th from 9 a.m. until 3 p.m. at the Moraga Valley Presbyterian Church. Make sure to make an appointment by calling 1-800-RED CROSS (1-800-733-2767) to secure your spot at the event.
