Spooky Halloween Events!

Ghouls, goblins, Jack-o-lanterns, and more…it is that time of year again! Soon houses everywhere will be filling their front yards full of spooky decorations, and stocking up on Halloween candy! As if the Halloween holiday was not fun enough, we have a couple awesome Halloween events for you!

  • On Sunday, October 26th you are invited to be a part of the Spooktacular & Pet Adoption Day! This event is hosted by the Contra Costa Humane Society and will take place between the hours of 11 AM and 2 PM! Come out to the Streets of Brentwood located at 2344 Sand Creek Road to be a part of all of the festivities! You may meet your next pet at one of the animal rescue groups! Your children will have a great time as they trick-or-treat at a few of the local retail shops! If you already own a pet, dress them up and enter them in the pet costume contest! There will be food, drinks, and even the opportunity to donate blood!
  • On Friday, October 17th, you are welcome to attend the 3rd Annual Scarecrows in the Park! Register with the Parks and Recreation Department before 5 PM on Friday, October 10th in order enter this scarecrow-building celebration! The scarecrows will be displayed until Friday, October 24th when the judges will cast their votes during the Movie in the Park! The entry fee is just a measly $15 per person! What a fun, and unique opportunity to show off your creative skills! Do not let Scarecrows in the Park pass you by!
